Turn any exam PDF into a daily study plan

Drop in the PDF you are already studying from. exclam.ai builds the full plan: a reading scheduled for every day, a quiz generated from that reading, and spaced-repetition flashcards drawn from the same pages.

You already have the PDF. The CFA curriculum, the Saunders NCLEX review, the SOA study notes, the lecture pack your professor sent. The problem is not having the source — it is turning it into a daily practice cadence that lasts until your exam. exclam.ai does that conversion automatically.

The workflow

  1. 1

Pick the PDF you study from

Any exam textbook, curriculum, or prep book. CFA Volumes, Saunders NCLEX, SOA ALTAM/ASTAM, CPA Blueprints, your school PDFs.

  2. 2

Set your exam date and weekly hours

exclam.ai uses both to size the plan. Six weeks at 12 hours per week looks very different from six months at 8 hours per week, and the schedule reflects that.

  3. 3

    Get a day-by-day reading order

The PDF is parsed into a topic graph and sequenced into daily readings. You see the full schedule before you commit — no surprises mid-prep.

  4. 4

Every day is a bundle, not just a reading

Each day's reading ships with its own quiz (drawn from the same pages) and its own flashcard cohort (scheduled with FSRS). One plan, three coupled artifacts per day.

  5. 5

    The plan rebalances automatically

Miss a day, change your exam date, or mark a topic weak — the schedule recalculates. The runway always reflects your actual progress and time left.

What you get on Day 1

On day one, you open the app and see today's reading (with the exact page range), today's quiz (10–20 items generated from those exact pages), and today's flashcard cohort (FSRS-scheduled, also drawn from those pages). You can take the quiz before reading, after reading, or both. The flashcards enter your spaced-repetition queue and re-surface on the schedule FSRS picks.

How the schedule scales to your timeline

  • 6 weeks: high-density readings, fewer total topics, mock-exam phase in the final week
  • 12–16 weeks: balanced coverage with a dedicated review phase
  • 24+ weeks: paced coverage with weekly catch-up buffers and an extended review phase
  • Any timeline: FSRS scheduling adjusts review intervals to your actual recall accuracy

Why this beats a generic study planner

Generic planners give you a calendar with topic names. They cannot generate quizzes or flashcards from your specific source material, so you end up assembling those yourself from a different vendor — Schweser questions for the CFA, UWorld for NCLEX, ASM practice sets for actuarial. exclam.ai removes that assembly step. The same PDF that gives you the reading also gives you the quiz and the flashcards, all linked back to source pages.

FAQs

What exams does this work for?

Any exam where you study from a PDF. CFA Level 1/2/3, NCLEX-RN/PN, SOA preliminary and advanced exams, CPA Core and Discipline sections, PMP, AWS/Azure/GCP certifications, EA, and dozens of others. If your prep material is a PDF, exclam.ai builds the plan.

Do I need to upload the whole curriculum?

No. Start with a chapter, a volume, or a topic-specific subset. exclam.ai builds a plan around whatever you upload. You can add more PDFs later and the plan extends.

How accurate are the generated quizzes?

Quiz items are generated from the exact pages assigned for the day and cite source pages in every rationale. We curate prompts and models to favor accuracy over volume — fewer items, better grounded, rather than 100 items of generic content.
