For CFA® candidates · August 2026 sitting

Your study record shouldn’t vanish when their platform does.

Upload the CFA® materials you already have the right to use, and exclam.ai builds a dated plan with a coupled quiz and FSRS flashcards for every reading — backed by honest, per-concept mastery that tells you the truth about exam day.

Most platforms count questions and call it progress. exclam.ai measures what you’ve actually proven, concept by concept, against the curriculum’s own learning objectives — and when it doesn’t have the evidence, it says “not yet assessed” instead of guessing you’re halfway there.

When the Learning Ecosystem went dark, candidates lost more than access.

exclam.ai is independent of CFA Institute. “Learning Ecosystem” and “LES” are CFA Institute’s terms, used here only to identify the platform.

Through the May 2026 cycle, candidates reported that the move to the new Learning Ecosystem terminated old-LES access roughly 10–11 days before the exam — and that saved highlights, bookmarks, and completion tracking were erased with no migration path. A separate cybersecurity disruption involving the LES then took question banks, mock exams, and revision tools offline during the final phase of preparation. CFA Institute responded with a complimentary future-registration offer for candidates who sit the May 2026 exam and receive a failing result.

exclam.ai keeps your prep in your account, built from files you control. A platform incident can’t erase a study record that lives in your own materials.

Annotations gone

Candidates reported that all annotations from the old system were erased, with no migration path.

Your quizzes, flashcards, and mastery rebuild from the PDFs you uploaded — nothing to lose in a migration.

Mocks went dark

Candidates reported paid mocks disappearing or breaking within a week of the exam.

Generate fresh practice from your own readings whenever you need it.

Progress reset

One candidate cited needing to complete 97 questions just to reset a quiz; others lost visibility into what they had covered.

Per-concept mastery and Learning-Objective progress that persist across sessions.

Honest per-concept mastery

Mastery you can trust — including the parts you haven’t earned yet.

exclam.ai scores mastery per concept from your actual answers. When a concept hasn’t been tested enough to judge, it shows “not yet assessed” — a gray dash, not a made-up 50%. You always see the difference between proven and unmeasured, so the readiness signal never flatters you. Your answers are never altered; mastery is rebuilt from them as evidence accumulates.

Learning-Objective progress

Progress tracked against the objectives that actually get tested.

Every concept is tied to a curriculum learning objective and grounded in the pages it came from. exclam.ai rolls your mastery up to the objective level, so you can see which objectives you’ve genuinely covered — and which still have zero evidence behind them. Coverage is measured against what’s actually quizzable, not inflated by filler.

Command-word quizzes

Questions that match the exam’s command words — not a generic difficulty dial.

CFA questions don’t just ask you to “list.” They ask you to calculate, recommend, justify, evaluate. exclam.ai steers each quiz toward the command word the objective demands, weighting the verbs that carry the most exam value — so you practice the cognitive task you’ll actually be graded on.

One reading you uploaded
Plan slot · Day 14
Quiz · 8 questions
Flashcards · 12 cards (FSRS)

All three artifacts are generated from the same pages and stay in sync as your plan rebalances.

One reading, three artifacts

Every reading ships with its own quiz and its own flashcards.

Upload a reading and exclam.ai produces three coupled artifacts from the same pages: the reading’s place in your dated plan, a quiz drawn from those pages, and an FSRS flashcard cohort scheduled to resurface exactly what you’re about to forget. One reading, three artifacts, all in sync — and your plan rebalances when you fall behind without you having to re-plan.

Under the hood

We’re collapsing tens of thousands of sentence-level fragments into exam-level concepts — each grounded to a learning objective and the source pages it came from — so mastery is tracked against ideas you’d actually be tested on, not isolated sentences.

From your PDF to an honest plan in minutes.

01

Upload what you own

Add your own notes, prep PDFs you have purchased and may use, or study packets you have authored. One clean, searchable PDF is the best first upload.

Pick CFA Level I, II, or III and your exam date; exclam.ai anchors a dated plan to it.

03

Get the coupled trio

Each reading lands in your plan with its own quiz and an FSRS flashcard cohort drawn from the same pages.

04

Watch honest mastery build

Mastery scores per concept from your real answers — and shows "not yet assessed" where it has no evidence.

Questions candidates ask

Is exclam.ai affiliated with or endorsed by CFA Institute?

No. exclam.ai is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by CFA Institute. We reference the CFA Program and the Learning Ecosystem only to identify the exam and the platform candidates study with.

Does this replace the CFA Institute curriculum, the LES, or official mocks?

No. exclam.ai is a study workflow for materials you already have permission to use. It does not distribute CFA Institute curriculum, official mocks, learning outcome statements, or proprietary prep-provider content.

Do I need to log into the Learning Ecosystem or Canvas to use it?

No. Do not share portal credentials. Start with saved PDFs, notes, or files you are allowed to upload.

What does "honest mastery" actually mean?

exclam.ai scores mastery per concept from your real answers. Where it does not have enough evidence, it shows "not yet assessed" instead of a default percentage — so a readiness number is never invented.

What can I upload — and what should I not?

Upload only materials you have the right to use: your own notes, prep PDFs you have purchased and may use, and study packets you have authored. Do not upload official CFA Institute mocks, past exam or essay questions, or Learning Ecosystem content.

How are the quizzes and flashcards made?

Each reading you upload generates its own quiz (drawn from the same pages) and its own FSRS-scheduled flashcard cohort. Quizzes are steered toward the command word the objective demands — calculate, recommend, justify — not a generic difficulty level.

Will it tell me I am ready to pass?

It will not pretend. exclam.ai shows honest per-concept mastery and Learning-Objective progress; it does not make pass guarantees or predict outcomes.

Start with one reading and one honest quiz.

Upload a file you’re permitted to use, and see the coupled quiz, flashcards, and honest mastery for yourself — across CFA Level I, II, or III.
