People domain questions

How many questions on the PMP People domain?

The PMP exam has 180 questions total. On the current exam (through July 2026), People is 42% — roughly 76 questions. From July 2026, People drops to 33% — roughly 59 questions.

What is the most important topic in the People domain?

Servant leadership and conflict resolution are heavily tested. Most candidates also find stakeholder engagement and team empowerment questions frequent. Emotional intelligence questions increased in the 2021 ECO and remain in the 2026 update.

Is People harder than Process?

Opinions vary. People questions are often situational and require judgment (you rarely get a purely technical answer). Process questions are more formula and framework driven. Most candidates find People harder to study because the right answer depends on the PMI mindset of servant leadership.

How should I study the People domain for 2026?

Focus on the PMI mindset: servant leadership, empowerment, consensus-building, and conflict resolution. Practice situational questions heavily. The 2026 ECO adds more emphasis on AI/human collaboration and cross-cultural team dynamics.
