## Why people look for alternatives

- Rita is dense and 800+ pages — many candidates need a daily plan to actually finish it
- You want video instruction, not just a book
- You're prepping for the July 2026 ECO and need 2026‑aware materials
- You want AI flashcards generated from Rita's actual chapters

## What to look for in an alternative

1. July 2026 ECO awareness (People 33% / Process 41% / BizEnv 26%)
2. Daily plan around your PMP exam date
3. Total cost (book + course + Qbank)
4. Format — do you learn from book, video, or practice?

## The alternatives

Disclosure: exclam.ai runs this site. The other entries are real options we genuinely recommend depending on the use case.

### 1. exclam.ai

Our pick if you have an exam date

Best for: A daily plan around your exam date — works alongside content vendors

Pricing: Free, then $8/wk · $30/mo · $250/yr Pro

### 2. Andrew Ramdayal (Udemy)

Best for: Best‑value video PMP course

35+ hours, 580k+ students, 4.7★. Likely the best per‑dollar PMP study you can buy. No planner.

### 3. PM PrepCast

[Visit](https://www.project-management-prepcast.com/)

Best for: Podcast‑format PMP training

Pricing: $300–500

Audio/video podcast format you can listen to in the car. Comprehensive coverage; less practice‑heavy than Rita.

### 4. Joseph Phillips (Udemy)

[Visit](https://www.udemy.com/course/pmp-pmbok6-35-pdus/)

Best for: Alternative budget Udemy PMP course

Pricing: $10–20 on sale

Similar format to Ramdayal at similar pricing. Some candidates prefer Phillips' delivery style.

### 5. PMI Study Hall (Plus)

[Visit](https://www.pmi.org/shop/p-/digital-product/project-management-professional-(pmp\)-pmi-study-hall-plus-(subscription\)-/dp014)

Best for: Official PMI practice questions

Pricing: ~$50–150 subscription

PMI's own subscription practice product. Worth it for the realistic question style — not a full course.

### 6. PMBOK Guide

[Visit](https://www.pmi.org/standards/pmbok)

Best for: PMI member free PDF reference

Pricing: Free with PMI membership ($164)

PMI members get PMBOK 7 (and soon 8) as a password‑protected PDF. Reference material; nobody studies from it alone.
